Double-Sided Scanning (Standard)

This feature enables you to scan both sides of a page using a non-duplex scanner. It is designed for multi-page documents and scanners with document feeders. ClosedGive me an example of how this feature works.

Example: A document contains three physical pages. Each page contains information on both sides, meaning there are six total pages that scan. Using the double-sided scanning feature, scan each page face up, then each page face down. Laserfiche Scanning will reorder the images sequentially.

Before scanning, complete the Preparing to Scan process. Also ensure that your scanning session's Document Length setting is equal to or greater than the double-sided document's total page count (front and back).

Note: This feature is not available for the Universal Capture or WIA engines.

To perform double-sided scanning

  1. From the TWAIN/ScanConnect/Kofax Toolbar, select Feeder (Double Sided) from the Paper Source drop-down menu.
  2. Load the document into the scanner face up.
  3. Select the button from the Standard Toolbar.

Note: In the event of a paper jam, resolve the jam then select Resume Scanning under File in the menu bar. Scanning will begin processing at the point it left off.

  4. After all pages are scanned face up, the Double-Sided Scanning dialog box will appear. Select one of the following.

  5. Once all scanning is complete, review then store the scanned documents.
